EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma treatment which has been empirically proven to help most people process experienced (recent and long past) traumas. It has also been shown to aid in the treatment of phobias and other future fears. It can be used as an adjunctive treatment to an already ongoing psychotherapeutic process or as a treatment on its own.
EMDR is an evidence-based psychotherapy for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
