About

I am a psychotherapist and writer in Manhattan.  My education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from School of Visual Arts and Masters in Social Work from New York University.   In addition to private practice, I am on the faculty for the MPS Art Therapy program and Humanities and Sciences at School of Visual Arts. In the past, I have been an adjunct professor of Graduate Social Work at Adelphi University and New York University.   In non-profit mental health settings, I have worked as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.   I am a member of the World Professional Association for  Transgender Health, the Working Group on Gender at Columbia’s NYSPI and the Executive Committee for ICP’s Psychotherapy Center for Gender & Sexuality Division.   My first book is Theorizing Transgender Identity for Clinical Practice: A New Model for Understanding Gender from Jessica Kingsley Publishers, U.K.
